Try UVW unwrapping faces of the cliff, thats what I always do. Comes out better.
Know of any good tuts for UVW Unwrapping? I can't do it.
it's easy, it's just a big jigsaw puzzle.

On a side note- Has anyone UV'd using Blender? =S
tweek's analogy is good, its basically arranging the faces into a 2D map that allows you to make custom textures and apply existing ones better.
