i know you cant play on live, but shouldn't the xp version still allow you to play lan matches? (I am not getting my pc with vista till Jan. 30 and i would really love to play halo 2 now)

Halo 2 for Windows Vista is unsupported on XP. Also, read the announcement/stickies for this board.
