    Resolution Help?

Hi, is there any way to run H2V in a 640x480 resolution? The lowest I've been able to set ingame was 800x600 and thats too much for my video card to handle. I do realize I'm running the lowest of the low requirements as far as video card goes, but the rest of my system makes up for it; besides, I can run regular Halo at a good solid framerate with nearly full graphics (although I do use DisableAlphaRenderTargets)

    Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
    Processor: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 (2 CPUs), ~1.8GHz
    Memory: 1982MB RAM
    Hard Drive: 151 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150
    Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor
Sound Card: Internal Speaker/Headphone (Conexant High Definition Audio)
    Speakers/Headphones: 2 tiny ass speakers
    Keyboard: USB Root Hub
    Mouse: USB Root Hub
    Mouse Surface: Random Mouse Pad
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_gdr.070627-1500)

Is there any Shortcut Property target commands or even something in a config file that might force it to run at a lower resolution so that I can get more than 10 frames ingame? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey no need to be rude, damn. I knew from the start the graphics requirements and what I currently have are not up to par; I only have so much money to spend and I'm saving up for a laptop with the 8600 or better depending if better technology comes out in the coming year. I like laptop gaming because I like having a portable gaming rig that I can just use wherever, whenever.

And if you are going to ask WHY I bought it knowing full well that my graphics requirements were low, its because one: I have a Gold Xbox Live account that I've had for quite a while that I have not had the chance to get my moneys worth out of since I recently moved to college; and two: I wanted to see if I could run any modern game with a budget computer. My desktop computer I left in my dorm has decent hardware (Radeon X1600 Pro video card, and Creative X-FI Sound card) but only has XP and such shitty processing speeds - we are talking in the 1.1 Ghz range, so I've never got the chance to get the full power out of it that I should be getting.

Regardless, I have my Vista set up so that I can get as much performance out of it as possible, and if I can run Half Life 2 Episode 2 at medium settings and still average 30 frames then I could run Halo 2. Obviously that was a mistake as Halo 2's engine is so horrible that you need a beast of a computer just to run it at low settings.

Either way, if there is some kind of resolution changer or some other mod that will allow me to play the game at 640x480 res that will make all the difference. I don't need full quality, I just want it to at least be above 10 frames to make it somewhat playable. 20 is good enough even.

Try to run it on your XP computer. Even my bro with Sempron 1.0GHZ 764MB RAM 6200GT got some decent framerate out of it.

Also let me tell you that the frequency alone doesn't say anything about the speed itself. My 2.0GHZ X2 can outrun any 3.4GHZ P4HT

If you put the game to run in a window and then right-click the Halo 2 shortcut, select properties and in the compatibility set it to run in 640x480 mode it could work.
