Ok on my specs?

I'm a nub at computer stuff. I've played halo 2 for xbox for a while, and am sick of halo 3. I want to get H2 Vista, and wasnt sure on my specs, as i still have very little knowledge with vista. How well do you think it will run on my computer?

Windows Vista Home Premium
ATI Radeon x1600 video card
1 gig of ram
2.16 ghz dual core processor
And preferably an external hardrive.

I did that once, H2V + an iMac.
Didn't like the result: low settings, 800*600, no AA , 25fps and long loading times..

About going to the PC version - the only benefit is that you get free online MP. You get poorer performance, stiff and poorly optimized keyboard control (it plays much more smoothly with the X360 wired USB gamepad), and no co-op although that's an issue with the game engine (cannot sync AI online) rather than with the developers.

About running off an external HD, yes, it will run, and the actual performance will be about the same as running off an internal HD. However, the loading times will be much slower if you're using a USB 2.0 hard drive. It's generally not recommended to run large-file-size applications off external hard drives.

Also, who the hell gave him that infraction? I did not find the post irritating in the least. Not everyone is tech-knowledgable, you know.

I did. The announcement posted right at the top of the forum clearly states that anyone asking if the game will run well on their system will recieve an "Irritating Post" infraction, when the minimum and our recommended system specifications are clearly stated there.

It's ONLY an "Irritating Post" infraction. Given he follows all of the rules, then that infraction will be gone in the blink of an eye.
