I only played CS:S once, when ILLEGALCheatsman did a good deed and gave me it via that funny here's-a-game-for-free-but-you-can't-keep-it-longer-than-3-days thingy.

The one time I actually survived a round was because I ran and hid the entire time.

Yeah, I think CS:S is the most competitive online game out there. The hardest of the hardcore play it and if you don't, well we don't call you true FPS gamers then It doesn't matter if you suck. TBH, I can't say that I enjoy playing it sometimes but I like to converse with people while playing. That is one of the reasons why I choose to play Source online games, for the integrated voice chat.

Playing and talking to you guys will be a great experience by default for me

That's why I like zombie mod. It's a lot less serious than plain CSS, and people are a lot more personable and chatty. It's good to be social on that game because it's really a necessity. Letting people know your location, saying you need help, mobilizing groups of people... communication is key.

Same reasons for me, again. It's kind of a turn off to some players when they join a map get instantly "owned." It just takes a lot of practice and technique. The jump+aim move is pretty much essential for close range AWP action.

You're doing it wrong. Jumping just throws off your aim. Quickscoping is the way to go.

I've played Zombie Mod for CSS, and it was pretty damn fun. Much better than the actually game itself. However, I like a zombie mod called Zombie Survival (woah creative names!) for Gmod better. It's obivously much more polished, visually and gameplay wise, due to Gmod being more open-source than CSS. There are some pretty cool maps, too. I dunno, though.

the main thing that turns me off ZM is the noise. A few dozen automatic weapons going off at once gets pretty annoying. Also it still feels pretty unfair for the zombies though the ability to move props did even it out a lot.

    Re: The Counter-Strike: Source Thread

You have to play to understand the whole zombies-through-props thing.

When someone uses an automatic weapon in, say, a vent, it makes it almost impossible for any zombie to even get close. This makes the game stale and repetitive, and quite frankly, no fun.

So bunnyhopping is just a way to help zombies have a better chance. Though, in some servers, they make it fair by making it pistol-only in spots where zombies have to crouch to attack you (this is how the server I play on is). It makes it more fun.

    EDIT EVERYONE!

Aerowyn is now online playing some CSS... here's the ZombieMod server in which she plays (under the username of "Aerowyn /TAT\"):
