My mom is a daylily hybridizer (she makes flowers have sex and have babies), and she sells the results of cross-pollination on her website if they're any good. Well, she uses a Canon Digital Rebel XTI to take her pictures, but she has NO CLUE how to use it properly.
I WANT her camera, because it's comfortable and all, but the lens it has doesn't have nearly the zoom range I would like it to, and it has barely any macro capability (I've wanted to try that for a while now). That and it's an $800 camera... so I can't afford one unless I save up my christmas monies for a long while. Ah, well. Sooner or later, I'll afford it.

Also, for macro photography, you need a macro lens, ask Timo about that, he recently got a 100mm f/2.8 macro lens for his 400D.
