The GIMP messing up colors?

So Im having this problem with The GIMP, if you haven't looked at the title.

My colors are going weird. If I select a light green, it gives me black. If I get red, it gives a dark redpurple. I have no idea how this started, and the color selection is on hue, so that isnt the problem.

Any ideas? How about this:

Why is this in the studio section? You might want to have a mod move it to tech talk or something.

Try reinstalling the app or seeing if your color profile settings are messed up. I don't use GIMP so I can't really give much more help then that.
