its true that the American public school system is quite bad, and no matter how much money Barack Obama throws at it it won't improve until our culture starts to value education more. However that doesn't mean its a waste of time. School is a place of social development, and whether you realize or not, you do learn a lot there. Maybe you won't actually use the math, but you will most likely use the logic that is related to learning the math.
It's ok. It's meeting and talking to your friends that makes it really fun.

Basically that. God forbid I don't cite the specific fucking coordinates on the planet of where I quoted/found information from. Community service is stupid too. What the fuck does that have to do with academics, also fuck the community for fucking my academics.
I find school a great place to be. Sure, it might not always be fun and games, but without school, we'd be anti-social morons that are on the internet all day doing nothing (not that I'm calling anybody that). My social life at school has helped me become who I am, and without it, I probably wouldn't be as good as a person as I am now.
I have great friends there, and I really enjoy hanging out with them. Due to school, I have a reason to get up in the morning. Without it, I'd have nothing to do, and nobody to do it with. School isn't just about learning, it's about teaching you how to live life with others.
In conclusion, school is very much worth it, not a waste of time in the least bit.
