I think when you stand the 360 upright, theres less pressure on the disk tray. A few of my friends who lay their 360's down have gotten their disks scratched up, but I stand mine upright and have never had any problems.

My 360 has been horizontal since the day I got it, and it's never been harmed.

I've gone through 2 360s, and I've learned to keep it horizontal.

God, my day was crappy as well. First thing in the morning, the A/C broke. At school, they made us write a 12,000 word minimum summary of literature during the American Civil War. I didn't finish, and got a 62. Then when I was home I accidentally gashed my foot on a rock on my front lawn.
