    Re: The Studio Quick-Crit Thread

The Power Drainer, Radar Jammer and Flare are Brute (notice the grip-bands wrapped around the handles, as seen on other Brute weapons), the Gravity Lift and Deployable Cover are classic Covenant, and the Tripmine is Human. The Auto-Turret is obviously Forerunner, and the two other campaign-only devices (Invincibility and Cloaking) are some form of Covenant apparatuses. I'm guessing that the Bubble Shield and Regenerator are both Covenant as well, due to their usage of shielding, but they both could be Human as well, due to their visual characteristics and the fact that the UNSC coppied and researched Covenant shield technology.

The designs of the things make no fucking sense at all. Who makes these things, and why do they have no stylistic resemblance to either army?

I mean seriously, the Power Drainer looks like some kind of ornate Forerunner globe.

What you mean you don't think a shiny glowing ball with a odd placed handle that always rolls away from where you throw it isn't a very smart military like idea? Well.... Me neither.

the fact that it rolls is key. The ones you want to stay with you like the bubble shield and the regen have legs for a reason.

But if you really want this thing far away from you, one would think it would come with a launcher of some kind.

    One meaning me
    Think meaning wish
and come meaning someone please model this concept.

I think its safe to call them covenant rather than brute. If I remember right the brutes are significantly lower than humans on the technological ladder.

Yeah, the Bubble and Regen are obviously not Brute technology. They are Covenant, but not Brute - the Brutes just kept them after the schism

    Pen 'n Ink

The assignment was to take a few images from a magazine and slap them into an art piece. The two guys are from a boat building scene (though I changed what they were doing), the lighthouse was from a diagram, and the houses down below were from an overhead view of a field.

    Protip: I suck at proportions.
