IMO, the render of the Wraith looked better of course.. Lol. But could you not make the texture more purple like it is in the render Dane made? And maybe make it more shiny with a cubemap if possible.
OF COURSE IT LOOKED BETTER, that render had specular lighting and normal mapping. Also, it does have a cubemap. You're blind.
And it there anyway you can make the texture compile larger so there is more detail?

"Make it so"? You really don't seem to know what you're talking about. Multi maps aren't some magical tool; Halo's shader system is limited. Anyhow, the hexagon pattern is clearly visible in that pic, not to mention in pics of it we've shown before.
Oh and it needs more glow coming from the lights on the turret... maybe planes with a gradient and alpha?
