Heh
i think what you meant to say is
am i in the ballpark?i really dont like this book but i read it anyway so the materialistic, popular, egotistical, shallower-than-a-blowup-pool-with-a-hole-in-it, girls like me. in order to assure my masculinity is still intact, my friends and i get together to make fun of the aforementioned book and the movie that goes along with it, and the people who watch it.
im just playing with you <3
Oh god reaper.
Exactly what came to mind when I read that.
Seriously, creative standards these days just keep getting lower and lower. It's a done-to-death story, hell it's a fucking archetypal story - but he's a vampire. Crazy fucking subversion right there. Ugh.
Hell, many girls who have read it agree that it's nothing original, but I always hear the same defense "it's really well written." So fucking what? What if I drew an amazing, well composed, photoreal drawing of dog shit? It's really amazingly done but it's still intrinsically a dog shit.
I decided to see for myself what all the hype was about, so I watched the movie online (fuck if I'm paying to see that). Christ, it was the epitome of a face-value entertainment film - a bunch of action scenes linked together with a pathetic attempt at a storyline (Ã* la most movies made in the past few years). Yes, I am aware it's the movie not the book, but I'll be damned if there isn't enough hype surrounding that audio/visual turd that is comparable to the book.
tl; dr: The lack of creative standards nowadays = RRRAAAAGGEEE
Anyway, in spirit of this thread, here's a funny picture.
