Not always true, if the entire team and at least 20 community members with fast connections seed the torrent continually, the download speed can exceed 500 kb/s. The leechers (people downloading but not seeding the file) will still be uploading to an extent, so more downloaders also increases download speed. If CMTSPV2 is hosted on a torrent, it should only be for the first 2 weeks or so when there's a FLOOD of downloaders, then when it's calm just revert back to regular server downloading.
torrents won't give you a virus if you know what the hell you're downloading. When FEAR Combat came out, I found the regular download way too slow, I found it being hosted on a torrent, much faster. If you get a virus from a torrent, it's probably because you're a dishonest asshole who's trying to pirate copyrighted software/movies and downloaded a bogus file by accident.
And I have yet to see a free file-upload site where I can get 700 kb/s without paying for a premium account.
Back to CMT SPV2:
Will vehicles retain the regionized destrucibility from SPV1? It's ok if the regionized thing is taken out, but destructibility = win (especially on those annoying dropships with overpowered mortars). And also, I noticed that in The Silent Cartographer, those covenant crates/boxes were coded in as vehicles (they could be pushed around and so on) it was kinda weird, just wondering what that was about.
Azureus ftw, it's free too. Just stay away from piracy, use it to host CMT SPV2.

Uhh...get one?
Real simple....
Uh, wrong...I get up to 200 now.
Well, I figured teek was joking but to everyone else ya.
E: Ya
Do we need to start the torrent conversation again?
Also, why would those of you who don't want torrents care? You wont use them.
On topic:
It's a kinda noobish suggestion, but any chance of leaving an empty Wraith tank lying around once in a while? To "jack" a tank I have to grab an automatic weapon and fire at the Wraith until the driver falls out, however this also damages the tank to an extent.
Mentalities like that are the REASON BitTorrent is generally slow.
If people would seed more, there would be more faster torrents. I once found myself downloading a Linux distro via BT to correct some issues I was having with a computer, and it was lightning quick despite the GB-large size because there were hundreds of dedicated seeders.
Yeah, I realize that not everyone can lend a hand abe a dedicated seeder, but still, don't simply ignore the fact that it's there and it can potentially work.
well..Isnt there faster torrents? For example just take one Private tracker..Rly..The torrents that is uploaded at ,lets say TPB is the same as the ones on private trackers..only that on the private trackers there is way more seeders..
Uh, all the tracker does is track who's on the torrents. The only way the Tracker would affect speed at all is if it went down; peers would have difficuly locating each other for new connections.
Speed on BT is all about how many people are seeding vs. how many are still downloading in the swarm. There should ALWAYS be more seeders than downloaders for a Torrent to be in good health.
What I also might note is that leechers tend to get throttled. If your share ratio is low, don't complain about shitty download speeds. You should always seed at least 1.5x the size of the download.

^ That's easy for those of you who have no download/upload limit to say.
