It wont mess up the disk, because when the game is launched, the disk stops spinning, and it wont mess up the disk, because it is doing the same process it would have before, just physically, rather than mechanically.
There is a program to replace certain 360 discs, such as Halo 3 and Gears of War for $20, but it's pretty limited. I did it before for my Halo 3 disc, and am going to have to do it again in this case, seeing as the console can't recognize the disc at all, unless there's some other way.
EDIT: It might help to include a list of the games, I figure.
