Are you using vine charcoal?
i used compressed charcoal/ 4B charcoal pencil. the red/brown is conte.
vine charcoal rubs off far too easily.
Try it with china markers and conte. You'll get more emotional lines and gestural lines.
China marker is godly for janitor friendly bathroom graffiti.
