It also puts me out a bit that Zoey, Bill, Francis, and Louis never actually had their predicament resolved at all (for better or for worse), yet they're moving on to a whole new set of survivors.

You forget that Valve made this.

YOU ultimately decide the four's predicament.

And over again.

(Though the survival mode game has it set in stone that they will die.)

What really gets me about this is that Left4Dead 1 is still buggy and incomplete and BORING. The replay value is TERRIBLE. You finish the campaign, you get a few golds on Survival Mode... ragequitting ruined versus (and it was never fun for me anyway), matchmaking is shit, we still don't have a proper SDK.... and they're RELEASING A SEQUEL?!

WHAT THE FUCK, VALVE?

It would've done better as a DLC update, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW VALVE UPDATES LEFT4DEAD SO OFTEN LOL.

Bottom line is: I am not paying 50 more bucks for updates that we should've gotten as DLC in the first place. :\

i dont see why everyone's throwing a shitfit really, nobody ever said anything about full retailprice, and nobody ever said they'd stop supporting l4d. hell, i wouldnt be surprised if they gave owners of the original l4d a discount on l4d2 on steam.
