You also don't glass a planet without destroying the defenses first. The display of events in the trailer make no sense. Also H3 isn't the best example of glassing, as all those ships appeared to be in the atmosphere, as well as the portal, even though that shouldn't be possible.

And Snaf, humans fought against forerunner machines on Onyx, same thing could happen on Reach.

The first seconds of the trailer of reach say:

"You know the ending from the beginning", or something like that.

I'm pretty sure it's Covenant.

Also, more on Natal. If they do this right, good-fucking-by Wii. All the Wii will have is its 5-ish mario/zelda/metroid games every 3-ish years, and it's low price point.

I think most likely that the game will be with Covies, but I the trailer seems to point to me in the opposite direction. I just don't see how it can be Covies based on the trailer and the established timeline. Unless the new game is going to retcon the books.

Technically that would be Firefight.

But adding a whole new multiplayer system to game similar to another would be a waste. People would probably start playing H3 ODST's multiplayer instead of H3. And that would lower sells.

besides the fact that you neeed H3 to play ODST...it's an ADD-ON instead of a stand alone game from what i've heard. it wouldn't really lower sells but added another multiplayer section is also a waste.

Yet everything in the trailer points to what going on as not Covenant. We know about when the Covies attacked, and how it went down. There's no way to explain how there's no visible Covie ships, explosions on the planet (plus the fires in spots where there are no explosions), no Plasma bombardments, and an accurate Slipspace jump past the defense platforms which wasn't possible for either side pre-first strike, so unless the trailer is bat shit bullshit, I'm leaning towards a Forerunner, Precursor, or a new faction we haven't heard about. My best bet is Forerunner, seeing as the explosions on the surface could be some kind of defense system, which also resulted in something using forerunner tech to do the accurate slipspace jump.

if its a stand alone game, why is it coming with a disc of just halo 3's multiplayer?
