that show was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy before my time. i've watched a few of the ones wayyyyyyyy before my time which include the original astro boy but not this one.

Watch the original, or even a single episode, before complaining about the new one being corny then. They're probably trying to get into the spirit of the original series with the corniness. Bad example, but think the original Speed Racer, and the new cartoon and/or live action movie
