Brute shields (wtf), human blood decals (don't make it a single solid color), covie textures (less bump maps), and the Battle Rifle (still using the SPv1 model) look like shit tbqh.
Everything else is great.

The MC sheild in fp is very close to his actual geometry. But the elite and brute sheild is like 2 feet away. It would look a lot better if they where all like the MC's sheilds, just different colors.
Or, if you could find a different way of making sheilds instead of some stupid noise sort of effect that would be great. Personally, I dont like the way Halo sheilds are porjected, its boring and weird.
the only thing i dont like about the battle rifle is the bolt slide.. the way its textured on rather than modeled in.
Biggest gripe: laser on the pistol. They look retarded in every game ever made, and you can't see the beam anyways when there isn't dust in the air, and even if you say there is, the angle looks fucked and it wouldn't be a solid red beam to boot. Kill it with fire.

Silenced pistol is fine, cool beans neh? But silencer needs more smoothing on the end; right now it looks like you made an octagonal cylinder and placed it at the end of the pistol. Also, LAM != Good. The laser looks fuxxed in blam! and it's just not halo. Why would you have a LAM when you have an integrated fire control system that displays a crosshair on your HUD without the need of giving your position away with a solid beam?
Also the laser is where the scope is supposed to be. If you absolutely must put a LAM on it, mount it underneath and remove the scope module completely a la Halo 2.
Hense the reason games are games. What would be the point in laser sight if you could not see the laser, in real life you would notice the light on objects. But not as much in games.
They are made how they are in games because it adds an interesting look. Just pretend that there is a lot of dust about.
I agree with the idea to kick the laser out. It made it a pain to animate, and heres a list of things that make it stray from the center of the reticle:
walking
breathing (standing still)
turning
shooting
^ all times when it would be important to have it perfectly centered. also the laser has nothing to do with where the bullet will hit.. its misleading.
