There forerunner, definitely. Look at the design of most of the buildings. It's also by ensemble studio's, which just so happened to be making Halo Wars around those dates..

I've always imagined what a forerunner city would look like around when halo 3 came out the environments and vista's became unimaginable. Now that I can actually see it.. it takes my breath away. Forerunner architecture and design is my favorite thing about Halo, and one of the coolest Sci-Fi things I've seen.

I'll be modeling this little piece, putting it in cryengine or unreal, and making a small scene out of it. But seriously, out fucking standing concept art this guy made.

It seems he has done a lot of stuff.. LoTR, among other things.

Thanks to him, I'm out of a two week art rut.

Actually, I believe the Forerunners found Humans while indexing the galaxy, and chose them to be the heirs of their technology. (much like the Precursors chose the Forerunners). At least I think, correct me if I'm wrong
