Because that's where the humour is derived. It tricks you into thinking that the sniper and spy have put aside their differences, and found love on the battlefield. Then it turns it on its head and snaps the spy's neck, because that's what snipers do.

That's because we're accustomed to two things:

a) Snipers killing Spies, and Spies killing Snipers.

b) Family Guy style fast, violent actions following a brief pause in a scene.

Anyone should have seen it coming. And that, children, is how you make internet "humour".
