    Have you played Halo 3/ODST? When you zoom in with the Carbine, 4 little marker things move. Hard to describe without you seeing them... but yeah.

    That is awesome, best I have ever seen.
    I love the particles.
    Also, it looks like projectiles were ejected from the explosion, with flames attached to it?

    The smoke is a bit fast though.
    And, whats with the string when you get near where the projectile lands?

    That's what im wondering. Until I saw that I thought I had it pegged down as for how he was going about accomplishing this effect. I experimented with flame grenades for a time using projectiles which emerged from the detonation effect and traveled a short distance before detonating and causing flames, attempting to accomplish the "spreading" effect of real fire. Also, for whatever reason that you have a weapon spawning in the middle of the flame, couldn't you just change the label to avoid getting the HUD prompt to pick it up?

    I believe I understand how the firebomb you made works.

    You made it so when it collides with anything, it instantly sets its particle state to "birth" and one big fire is created. Out of that big fire shoot out 3 smaller fires at an angle. However, it looks like these fires are either actually weapons with no models, or just a hud info error.

    Did you make the fire particles yourself? Cause they look good (I am sure you can make it look even better :P)

    Looks alright (which is great for fire in CE, cause it's a bitch to get any fire that doesn't look like complete ass in CE).

    Might look better if you toned down the smoke- it suffers a bit when the smoke particles overlap with the flame particles up close.

    Also the grenade seems a bit light, maybe increase the gravity effect on it?

    I've never seen the firebomb in action in halo 3. Does it set someone on fire if it hits them? What kind of damage would it deal if it did? I would hope that it cuts into their shield quite a bit and impair their ability to see properly.
