I can tell you that the hand placement on a P90 is wider than that. And the front hand grip isn't completely vertical which helps to compensate for the close grips.

And weight isnt a problem. It can hold 1.5 tons of Spartan and still go 50mph.

If you're going to play the canon game, I'd like to point out that a scorpion weighs 66 tons. The warthog weighs 3.25. I highly doubt that just because a hog can carry 3 Spartans it can also carry a cannon that's part of a 66-ton tank and appears (from the outside at least) to be a fair part of said tank's mass.But the bed is in FRONT of the rear axle, so it wouldnt tip.
