Still doesn't mean you can shit post bad crit. Just don't model guns off a game that has them and already released. I seen you do it always. Just go do what ODX said. Find a random gun like something like in before the 1950's. Like a musket or something old style. I don't really seen anybody really do it. Maybe once or twice.

Do something less well-known. Try a Bren, actually. Not many of those floating around.

I've been using Max 8 for the last how many years, there's nothing wrong with it. Go to the more tools thing, hit polygon counter, put it into triangle mode, and there you go.

Go search up a random weapon, model it.
Actually, I'd wager quite a lot of people did. I've known about the FAMAS as long as I can remember, and the F2000 since something like 2005.

Since people were still posting about the F2000 and the Famas after I cleaned up the thread, let me let you all know. Quit talking about it. Move on with crit, etc.

Would this simple design be okay for a portfolio?

It is not currently a portfolio, it is currently a website for me and a friend. I have coded it all my self and I am pretty proud of it The user given above has no privileges, but the admin user can Edit the page, Turn Registrations on and off, delete comments and I will code more features.

(Don't change the password please, otherwise I will have to change it back :/ )

Don't worry, it's an easy mistake to make. At least you block SQL injection on the login!

I like the concept of the colors (just check out my old website, http://spacebrick.net) but certain aspects of it need a lot of work. If nothing else, you should make an effort to make consistent margins, widths, etc- make the page have a predictable grid-based layout. Most people prefer that. I like the concept of customizing the only actual color that appears in the theme, but in certain places it comes off a bit eyebleed. Maybe tone it down a bit. One last thing, most users are trained to expect some sort of click action when something changes its appearance when you mouse over it. Having the border of the posts area change color when you mouse over is interesting, but misleading.

Uh.... what's the point of posting JUST the barrel of a gun?
He should have a little more patience before posting his work as it is basically just three cylinders, not much to crit.
