I love this commercial. I saw it on TV and I like spit out my drink laughing.
READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU START THE VIDEO!
This is something I've been working on for a while in secret. Before I say anything else though, I need to let you know that my computer sucks so the graphics are turned down to lowest possible. I can only record like this and even then it's laggy so sorry for the lag
A nice sample of a project I've been working on to basically bring Halo to Oblivion. The mod is called Haloblivion and you will not find anything else on the internet about it for a while. I would like to say first of all for those of you who think this is a simple new set of weapons, you are quite wrong. Over 200 kb of scripting has already gone into this mod to make it work how I have it right now. It's not even nearly finished but expect to see more when I so deem it. Credit to Bungie for the models and textures for the H3Beta armor, sniper, magnum, and assault rifle, and all the extra sound effects present. The hud and energy sword are completely made by me but are still unfinished. REMEMBER, NOT FINISHED!
Criticism and comments are appreciated but nothing absolutely bluntly obvious or anything infraction-able please

Loudest fans in the NHL despite Rexall being tiny, although they've tamed a bit now what with the whole 'bad season' thing
Hmm, just when I was wondering if I should reinstall Oblivion. Still, I would have to wait a long time for this to be done. I appreciate what you've done so far, but I'm not sure it suits the game. Why Halo weapons in Oblivion and not Fallout 3 instead? Fallout 3 would be more suitable and welcoming of projectile based weapons.
^He started this project long before Fallout 3 was released
cause that's the whole point. Guns weren't even coded to work for oblivion. My whole point in the gun side of the project is to make working guns that the player and ai can use. I doubt I'd be able to finish a story for the mod myself but my intent was more along the lines of making near lagless gameplay changes that could be enjoyed, studied and learned from by oblivion modders, and possibly even work with oblivion online(another mod which does what it'd name says). I'm very well aware that fallout 3 would be much more suitable, but the fact that guns are already a part of it's engine code just didn't interest me. Most of the mod is coding so I wanted a challenge. Don't worry, I made a special few items that you can add to any enemy you want to work as a energy shield, overshield, active camo, or any combination of the 3. This was for covenant enemies but if i don't get around to that then anyone who picks up after me will already have a lot of work done for them. The guns are balanced though they might not seem like it. There's too much to explain as to why but I will say that they are more balanced by "realistic" standards such as firing underwater causing a lot of damage to the gun and energy swords dissipating really fast underwater while active, ammo being separated into individual clips rather than just a big pool you dip your clip into and reload it, and damage being calculated and affected by things such as you or the target being underwater.
Also, about it taking a while to be released. I can let you beta test since I don't know many people who play Oblivion and have a comp that's good enough to play at atleast decent settings AND record. Even then, just having someone else try it out alongside me would be enough because I have not had a single other person try it out except for arby. And It kept crashing on him since the textures were linked to the wrong folders :P
While this may be slightly true(I really cant remember) most of the work I've done in the past half year. The HUD was made not even 2 weeks ago and the guns themselves entirely are probably 3 or 4 months old.
