How are people getting images from morse code out of Portal again?
Just read through the entire thread. Pretty exciting in a "I have no idea what's going on or what they're talking about" sort of way. This is the latest lead gathered from an old BBS (the number of which was somehow gathered from the images): http://www.tindeck.com/listen/urou

Wow, people on Steam forums are actually doing work. They're connecting to a phone number found through an MD5 hash through telnet, and they've traced the location to a Tattoo parlor/possibly unoccupied building in Washington. Since one of the Valve reps said they were planning on moving offices this makes sense, but I'm sure they're not downgrading to a small one-floor building.

The two sounds are morse code and some type of tv signal translated into audio. That link up there is the translation back into images.
Update for the curious:
I compiled a rar of the wav files and their appropriate translations (morse is in txt, images are in png). fizzle and noise are by themselves, but I'll be messing with them to try and find any secrets inside.
