My nuts....they hurt..
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
But no, here is a list of differences:
-She likes pens
-she seems to have a cultural style leaning towards asian art
-She uses designs that flow with her images to certain points
- She has a very quick cross hatch style
In other words, yes I have studied her works and she is an inspiration, but here is my style, which is less then hers:
- Simplified single drawings, never tend to do more then one drawing per page.
- I love greek and roman art
- I use a mechanical pencil and use small cross hatches that build up one another and go in one direction to create light, basically a much slower and time consuming version of bapsi's.
So yes, I have learned a shit load from her, and I can easily say that. I am not, however trying to be her. I want to express what I see in my own way and if it involves implementing a piece of someone else's style, then there is nothing wrong with that boba. Each style is a pickings of styles from previous artists who made a large impact on your life. Hope that clears up any confusion you have boba, any crit on the actual work though might be helpful and would be appreciated as apposed to this session of me helping you.![]()
Oh trust me, I leave thousands of sketches undone. Every artist at one point or another in a piece has doubts about how it looks. Regardless you should get into the habit of pushing through, because the overall final piece could look better then you thought.
It's more of relaxing and drawing what you want to draw and not thinking " Oh I have to draw this perfectly and nicely s I can post it online and not get flamed"
