Are you sure? Those VC deer are tricky mother fuckers. He should at least pick up an M2A1-7

Nothing wrong with an AR platform for hunting, they're just a different type of gas operated semi-automatic system. Take a look at the Remington R-15 and R-25 series rifles.

The closest I've ever come to shooting a gun is those light guns at the arcade...sigh.

I'm quite interested in actually handling a real rifle at a shooting range in the future, though. It'd be a cool experience to get the proper feel of recoil and so on. If there's a gun I've always wanted to actually hold in real life, it would be the M1 Garand.

They aren't that impressive, to be honest. They are smaller than you think they are, and they aren't that comfortable. I'd rather take an SVT-40 or G43.

know what's shorter than an actual garand? you might be thinking carbine, but you'd be wrong! it's the tanker! best version of the garand EVER.

Another gun I'm very keen on owning sometime would be the classic Colt 1911 .45. It's gonna be a hundred years old next year, yet many law enforcement and military agencies worldwide still use it. It's also the pistol I primarily equip in COD4.

If I could get my hands on an actual made-in-1911 copy, all the better I probably would keep it as a collector's item, not test it out at a range, though.

An actual 1911 or earlier serialed M1911 would cost you a small fortune.

Also, Coja, the M1 Carbine is not a Garand. Not even the same system.

you misunderstood what i said. where it says garand, it should have just been the m1, with rifle comparison general and not specific to a certain type.

I understood what you said just fine, actually. Should've put M1 in there to begin with though-as it is, it is implied that the M1 Carbine is an actual Garand derivative.
