    Amazing how perfect the new digits are with the hands and feet. I had figured with our highly intense technological life style, naturally occurring mutations like this would be prevented. Seems like I thought wrong.

    I really do wonder if we are evolving in such a way.

    Your lifestyle doesn't affect genetic markers like that, and the amount of technology in your life shouldn't have any effect on naturally occurring oddities.

    There's no doubt that humans are underdeveloped, though. I believe people reference the amount of discomfort in human birthing compared to most mammals as evidence that we still have a ways to go as an evolving species. I don't know if I like 24 digits, though. Seems like it'd clutter up your hands.

    Referring to technology making our lives easier, normally evolutionary mutations will arise to increase survivability or help us adapt to environmental changes. But I agree with you.
