Greatest space game ever, although I can't say much since I never played X-Wing.
    Also, Orcania of Time.

E: And while this one isn't SO old, if I don't see a Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remake using the Generation 5 engine I will be pissed. Ruby and Sapphire were awesome. The Pokemon weren't the best in the world (except Flygon and Rayquaza and maybe Groudon, those guys were bros, Sceptile was cool too, but 4th Gen really made him mostly useless), but the environment around you was spectacular; you went everywhere from a sandstorm to pouring rain to an active volcano to a town built upon trees and another town built upon floating logs to underwater.
Ocarina of Time does not need to be remade. Agree with Rogue Squadron though. As fun as that game was, the visuals were pretty terrible.

Rogue Squadron needs a remake-and-a-half... I always found that game too damn short. Another couple of missions would be good.

Pokemon Re.......oh wait, that's already happened. For the first four. Why haven't I still bought the Gold and Silver?

Basically, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro need remakes. Those games kept me occupied for hours.

holy shit i was made for this thread.

fucking secret of mana on the snes.

the game was made by square, so you will see some parallels to final fantasy (although nothing earth shattering). what blows my mind is the way 2 player gameplay works. the video i posted is two players playing on an emulator. it doesnt really show how it works though. see, you have 3 character, and when you press select you can play as any of the 3, and the guy you just stopped controlling will be taken over by AI (ill talk more about this in a moment). if you plug a second controller in at any point in time, player 2 can press select and join in to take control of one of the players youre not using. AND if for whatever reason they want to stop, they just press select and the AI takes their character back over. its so easy and fluid. i played through to undine with my sister. the 2 player mechanic is awesome (although shes not good at games).

now for the AI. theres a 4 by 4 checkerboard style thing called the action grid. it looks like this:
    .................attack
    .............[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
    approach[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]keep away
    .............[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
    .............[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
    ................defend
so you put a tick mark in one of those boxes, and the ai will respond by maintaining distance and being as aggressive as you set them.

the story starts off pretty well, your typical thing forces your guy to do stuff (dont want to give anything away), and so you set out and meet some people on the way. it seems like at some parts the game doesnt go out of its way to further the story, but for the most part you always know what youre trying to do and why.

basically, i love this fucking game so much. im sure some of you here have some years on me, but im 16 and iv been playing video games since i was less than 2 years old, i have played and finished well over 200 different games, and i can honestly say that despite its age, it still remains on my top 10 list. oh, and this song is fucking awesome:

Oh hell yes! I still have the disk for NFS 3 and NFS 4 in my drawer next to me. Now you've mentioned those I feel a sudden urge to play them.
