    Re: Minecraft

That seems awful childish. I bought the game for its as-is qualities. Any additional patches and improvements thereafter are just a welcome surprise. Frankly, I don't think I've ever bought a game on investment value, that is to say, based on the notion that I deserve continued updates.

but we had that MASSIVE halloween update coming...alot of spoiled children on the net ain't there

    EDIT:

Talked to the guys on 7chan's minecraft server (notice that the 7chan's server isnt run by their /v/ but the actual board they have dedicated to minecraft)
and they agreed (and who wouldn't) that if this IS in fact 4chan's doing its showing 4chan is running out of ways to get lulz

The wording on that page got changed well after I bought the game. He promised updates to me.
Furthermore, don't quote fucking Kotaku. The fact that they're reposting 4chan quotes speaks volumes about the quality of the site.

Regardless of them quoting 4chan or not, it was an interesting article about the game.

Another interesting article, Gamasutra has a breakdown of the game's mechanics and tries to analyze why it's successful.

    Worth a read.

I never played it until yesterday. It's terribly addictive - serves well as a procrastination tool for my exams next week.
