IIRC, I disliked the last dashboard change too.
But that doesn't mean I'll fucking grow used to this one. Do they fire the entire design team after every new launch and hire an entire fucking new goon squad? I'd like my old dashboard UI back or at least the option to use it please. Thx.
Just because you launch a new freaking product doesn't mean you have to go and change the whole thing. Unless their research shows that over 50% of consumers will have a higher liking to a new product if everything is fucking new...if that's the case, I blame the average user (and then some) for this fucking ridiculous shit and wish "an unnatural selection would, I don't know, send a power surge directly into their controller killing them, or at least disable them from buying anymore xbox junk.
I thought the avatars would look better, but they just look like they spent time on the rack or had that bone lengthening procedure that insecure dwarfs get.
It would be nice if they actually worked on improving the dashboard so it doesn't take 2 seconds to click between menus.

Agreed, If I wanted a console with what resembled linux mint for it's GUI i would have got a PS3 and installed linux mint.
I miss the old blade system where the Xbox 360 actually looked like a console not a cheap ATM rip off.
They're trying to get all their products under the Metro UI. Which is a good thing.
I've been using it since the beta. At first it was as slow as or slower than the NXE, but as they continued adding updates it got faster. I had a second xbox I could compare it to.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds the new UI to be this horrible, buggy, atrocious piece of shit. Not only is it incredibly buggy but it wouldn't let me accept the Terms of Service for half an hour which prevented me from signing on. Not to mention the Avatars themselves look.. off. They didn't look -good- before, but now they just look even more OFF than they did. I can't put my finger on what it is.
Wow what is up with POS xbox? I turn on, have my standard setup of a bridge so I try to download update, it fails a few times and then starts to download.
Stops and fails half way through, so I try again. Now for some reason I have the new UI colours, but I only get My Xbox and some Welcome screen.
I've downloaded the $SystemUpdate9199.zip file, pulled out the folder, tried to burn it to a CD TWICE, and it won't load up...Tried to put it on a USB, still won't see theres new updates.
WTF!?
