EDIT: Punching/hitting the fireballs from ghast's deflects them from you.

That's not the problem. It's the same portal, not one I built inside the Nether. I read up about it, seems to be a bug.

How to build a home that is impregnable by mobs:

The only way in, is via boat surfing

A flat space like that with no torches will get mobs at night. Also height cap means the buildings will be lame. Also playing on pussy-mode.

That's not the problem. It's the same portal, not one I built inside the Nether. I read up about it, seems to be a bug.

its a known problem, happens to me as well, the only "true portal" is the one outside my obsidian bunker

I think the problem might be that I built my portal right against a wall. Apparently you have to have space on both sides.

There will be torches when im done building it. its entirely unfinished. Also, I play peaceful when I'm building shit because falling 4 blocks and losing health = gay, and it happens a lot. As for buildings, fuck buildings.

ATTN: I just dug straight down, like 20 levels if not more, and entered into a cavern full o' lava and water, and obsidion. 'twas awsum.

I suggest you guys check out the bridge mod, its unbelievable. It got broken in the halloween update but hes working on an update (theres a basic fix out so you can use it, but its slightly buggy).
