That low? I thought the MGS4 cutscene and Uncharted gameplay was running at 30fps. But even 20fps for a PS3 game is bloody good on a handheld. I'll be keeping my eye on this device!

Eh. PS3 graphics really aren't that hard to do. nVidia was shipping GPUs 3x as powerful as the RSX GPU when the PS3 launched four-and-a-half years ago. So says the CEO of nVidia at least, whatever he knows

I mean yes at that power profile it's a trick, but still.

From what I understand, the MGS4 demo was a straight port to PSP2 code, no optimizations or lower-res assets. I'd say that's pretty good.

As for the PSP2, I wonder who the market is for this. I portable PS3 is a cool, but I'd rather just play home console games on a home console, with an HDTV and all of the buttons. The DS/3DS at least allows for unique experiences, what with the dual screens and stylus. Android phones and iPhones are now competitors in the portable space, too.

This looks freaking cool. I just hope this means the PSP's store value will drop considerably when the PSP2 is released. I really don't want to pay $170 for a 5 year old device is all I'm saying. Unless, of course, the PSP2 is someone around $250 and can play PSP games. In that case....

It's backwards compatible with downloaded PSP games, but it won't take UMD's sadly.
