What happened to the rule saying banned users couldn't make new accounts? I mean, I keep seeing the new profiles for Selentic, Blind, Dane, all these guys. Why don't you just un-ban their old accounts? Just wondering because I have embarrassed myself a couple of times both in PMs and in threads.

You're allowed to submit banning issues on Contact Us page. Why old accounts aren't unbanned is beyond me. I assume it's so that you can start fresh, whether or not you decide to tell someone who you are or make it obvious who you are is up to the user.

Sometimes we see if the person will change when they are given a second chance. A lot of people really overstay their welcome and we end up with a zero tolerance policy towards them after their unbanning (such as Jay). Others end up banned for doing something stupid like sharing their account (advancebo) and some are just banned right from the start (strider vega core).
And most often, the people coming back want a new name.
I see it like paedophiles that go on parole. They get let out but no one knows they were a paedophile. Then when you find out that they were, you freak out and your opinion about their new identity changes.

More often than not you're banned for a good reason why should the ban be lifted? SUCK IT UP AND MAKE A NEW ONE.
