Giant iPad with buttons for a controller? No thanks. I hope they release a smaller, simpler controller. The console itself seems promising, though.

So it has some weird controller? Huh. Are they keeping the motion controls or are they going away from that?

Minor excitement. All they need to do is make the controls for the game is more accurate and i'd buy xD.

After seeing that vid I dug up an old external hdd of mine and found T3T, a montage that the t2t guys made of their best stunts and such, looking for a good place to upload it "(200+mb file and around 30 minutes long).

Also not really excited about the new halos.

Well I just watched a video on it and it seems like they're also keeping the Wiimote for some games, but it also seems like you'll still need to use this new controller as well meaning that you'll have to juggle around two controllers...

Meh, the Wii did the same thing with the Wiimote + classic controller + gamecube controller + wii fit board + whatever the fuck else. Not like it's anything new.

I would buy a Super Nintendo 2 with Super Metroid 2, Chrono Trigger 2, A Link to the Past 2, Zombies Ate My Neighbors 2, Final Fantasy III-2, and Super Castlevania IV-2. That was the Golden Age of Nintendo. The N64/Playstation generation had almost succeeded in killing my love of games, until Halo came along and restored it.

They finally caught up technologically with the Wii Yuu, but for how long? A year or two? When the next generation comes out, they'll be right back to being underpowered.

Yeah I had this discussion with Teekup the other night. I'm just not interested in any new games coming out anymore. I remember when games used to be actually challenging, and rewarding when you got better at them. Video games these days all cater to the newb crowd, which is a good marketing strategy but it just doesn't appeal to me very much. I haven't bought a new game for a long time and I probably won't buy one for the foreseeable future other than Mass Effect 3 (only because I planned to buy it since ME1).
