Ye. I was getting sniped left, right, and center on HM. I fly a mean Blackhawk, though.
You got me once. I got you back. And then all the kiddies were having one helluva hard time sniping me back made worse by the fact that your health regenerates in Normal mode. So many marksman points...at 15-20 frames per second. I told you so.

Also, a 24 player server is good as long as Heavy Metal is not in the map lineup. That map is total shit with only 24 players.

Anyone try this yet? Apparently it's basically just an updated version of Battlefield 2, with the classic Karkand maps and a modified BF2 engine. I might check it out for nostalgia's sake, kind of like a Battlefield 2.5 (ignoring the Bad Companies).

Play4Free is bullshit. Go play the real BF2 for $5. Well, at least that's what it costed in a Steam sale and EA sale a few months back. Play for free limits you a good deal, but I had a bit of fun playing it when it first went beta. Still, once I fired up BF2 again, P4F was no match for it.

Alright, wasn't sure if it was good or not. I own BF2, still got my old profile.

I play both. P4F is better if all you want to do is jump in and play a few rounds. BF2 is superior in every way, but is also more serious and you have to go in with the "I want some serious playtime" mindset.

Basically, P4F is for 10-30 minute play sessions and BF2 is for your 2+ hour marathons.

P4F is fucking clunky as hell. I have no clue how you play it. I played one round of karkand and uninstalled it.

Clunky? Reach is clunky. P4F runs very well and is very playable, even more so than BF2.

I ain't gonna lie, it's a better game to jump in and start playing for small periods of time.

There are less options in it, though, which does two things:

    1. Cuts down what a proper BF game is (not to the extent of BC) and makes it slightly faster paced because of less inventory shit to fiddle with.
    2. Attracts a more casual crowd who want to try BF but are afraid to chuck money into something that may be too complex for them.

These aren't necessarily bad things for people who are used to CoD. It may serve as a good way to break them into the true BF series. The problem is that the only proper way to learn BF2/2142 is to play those games. For people who have already played BF2/2142, P4F is going to seem like a pile of crap.
