Because I like vertical space just as much as I like horizontal space. Fuck your 1080 and 1200 pixel handicaps. Also, fuck your bezels.

Bezels are seriously not an issue. Go with three monitors in portrait if you want vertical space.

Have you tried it? My friend is hardcore OCD (measures item placement and balances horizontal lines on his desk daily) and he's the one that introduced me to triple monitors.

I have. My 17" 1280x1024 and two smaller 1024x768 monitors. Ran all three at 1024x768.

also, waiting for 2560x1440 to be available in 24" and smaller monitors... c'mon, if you can put 1920x1080 into a 15.6" laptop screen, you can give a 23" or 24" the 2560x1440 love. 1920x1080 in 21.5" was a big deal for me, though I wouldn't mind seeing it in 20".
