On that note; I don't understand how people are so terrible at using the helicopter gun... Some people just can't hit anything if their life depended on it (and it usually does), and then there are some people who hop in (on Caspian Border) and only try and shoot down jets. I just don't get how some people can be so terrible with such an overpowered lolcannon. The gun in the helicopter on BF3 can RAPE tanks in a few shots (unlike the one in BC2), and the AOE damage of the thing is insane, on top of that, add to the fact that the bursts last twice as long or longer than the bursts in the BC2 heli.

Not to mention there's hardly any bullet drop effect on the cannon rounds.

I swear the general incompetence is going to kill my interest in this game. No body fucking listens, everyone just splits off and does their own shit, meanwhile some level 42 douche (in a goddamn beta) is running around with a squad owning EVERYONE properly. People are so fucking skittish to disarm the bombs it's ridiculous. Particularly with MCOM A on Set 2 on Metro. Then again maybe it's just Metro.

Hell, it's easier then running around even, since all you need to do is look around, zoom, and shoot.

I was in a server yesterday evening, both enemy jets had stealth and flares and always spammed them when you tried to shoot them down. It was impossible to kill them, even using all the AA guns at our disposal. I tried to take them out with my jet, gun kept over heating


I got video I'ma upload soon, I absolutely love jet flying, especially dogfights in the air, I hope (but doubt) theres a level in the retail where its literally just jet fighting, no other vehicles or guns .

There probably won't be a jet only level, but there might be server mods for that.

My jet is pretty much all pimped out now, but the first three unlocks are really the only ones worth using. Stealth, Flares, and Heatseekers. If you end up going head-to-head with another decent pilot with those and you don't' have Stealth or Flares you're owned. I may try swapping Stealth out for something, since I haven't noticed it being a huge help since I got it.

I actually had an amazing wing-man one game, literally some Top Gun stuff going on. There was no ground interference and I had a good wing-man who kept baiting both the other fighters onto him, then I'd show up from the outskirts of the map after they were both neatly in line behind him, fire both HS at one, quick burst of gun to get the destroy and kill, then gun the other one down to disabled and let my wing-man take the kill with HS. It was awesome.

Heres some footage I took. Running all low settings so FPS is fairly decent. I've only taken out one plane in my BF3 career, although this was the first day for flying jets for me (and I didnt play BF2).
