To confirm, is Back to Karkand integrated with the main game, or does it function as a separate expansion like what Vietnam was to BC2? I hope they're not pulling an Activision here ($15 for four maps that have less quality than the average mod). If EA is also pushing that tactic, then I'm done with them for good on PC. I already lost faith in them for consoles with their online pass bullshit and refusal to allow split screen in their new racers.

e: Note to those planning to join an empty server to practice with aircraft - MAKE SURE IT'S NOT A RANKED SERVER.

Those deaths I had (nearly 100) while practicing all counted towards my K/D and ruined it >.< I was basically trying to imitate the stunts shown in the videos posted earlier, like flying helis under highway signs, and swooping close to the ground in a jet and immediately pulling back up. Now this being Battlefield not COD, I'm not overly concerned about my k/d as helping the team is more important, but it still sucks when your average to-date k/d goes to shit over nothing.
I support the Online Pass because I support game developers. If you want to play the game, pony up to the people who made it, not fucking GameStop. With video games, the idea is that you are paying for the experience, not for the physical item.

You mean like the stupidly high prices?
RRP for majority of games in the UK is between £40-£50.
You do the maths for currency conversion and that leads to $63.96 - $79.95.
That's including direct downloads not just the street store prices.

You and I already had this discussion. Blame your government systems, not the industry. As a matter of principal, don't buy used if you want to thank the developer for a great experience.

Not buying used is not always a viable option, especially with prices going as high as £60 per game.
Principles are great when you can afford them.

It's not about being able to afford something, its about making priorities.

Way to miss the context entirely.

A sensible developer and publisher would prefer you purchase used than entirely miss their game.

It assists their retail partners, you will be much more likely to purchase future games from them, and they can get auxiliary value from you in one of many ways (DLC/Expansions, ads, the rest of the shit they'll do anyway).

As is routinely proved lately, sensible is the problematic part of the statement... not the user.
