    Ah yeah I see what you mean, I've had a few shots where it seems to be less than 3 feet away and the guy then proceeds to kill me, only for me to see he has 80% health remaining.

    Would it be true (total guess) that the further the target is, the more damage? Ballistic-ally I have no idea but say you shoot a guy 4 feet away and then shoot a guy 40 feet away. The projectile has had more time to get 'up to full speed', with the 40 feet.

    I may just be talking out my ass, its just a guess.

    With explosives, it really doesn't matter. If it were a kinetic-kill weapon, you would be right on the money with a mechanic like that.

    I propose that they add in HE warheads to increase anti-infantry effectiveness, but degrade anti-armour effectiveness. =O

    Ah okay. Whilst we are on the subject of RPGs they seriously need to fix the fact that when you pull out an RPG, the 'grenade rocket' part thats the ammo always shows even if the gun isnt loaded. Meaning it appears to be loaded, and then quickly disappears to show it being empty and your character will then proceed to reload.

    The issue with this is you think the RPG is loaded and ready to shoot, the amount of times I have pulled it out, thinking I can quickly fire it off to kill then enemy, only to have the grenade part disappear and require a reload and I get killed by the enemy.

    i feel like they just ignored fp animations in general in this game. some of them just look like they didnt spend much time on them, which would make sense seeing how rushed they were.

    With BF3 it's difficult to kill someone at full health with an RPG or even a TANK SHELL unless you get a direct hit. Most of my RPG and SMAW kills so far are from blowing up jeeps. I often get a 75-90 kill assist rather than a real kill when someone's caught in the blast of my rocket.

    With BC2, the splash damage of the Carl Gustav was enough that people would often risk suicide to get kills with it.

    It's often the case that a rocket/tank attack that would have killed you outright in BC2, instead leaves you seriously injured but alive.

    Nevertheless, now that tank drivers can unlock a machine gun very quickly, it's not too bad. The uncertainty about scoring kills with the shells has led me to switch to the machine gun every time I encounter infantry.

    Jeeps or armoured cars? Because the latter, comprising HMMVs and Vodniks, don't explode with one rocket. The occupant only dies, sometimes. It's one of my major gripes with the game right now.
