I don't know if there is an issue with EVGA 560 Tis, but I do know that, historically, their "superclocked" and "OC" models have had reliability issues. They push them too far at the factory, so you get artifacting and even DirectX shutdowns because of it. My EVGA 7800 GT is an "OC Copper" model, and it demonstrates the exact same behaviour that you are experiencing with your GTX 560. The card works just fine once you pull it back down to normal levels, but it's irritating to pay that $10-$20 premium and not get to use it.

I've never heard of many SuperClocked models having issues, the SuperSuperClocked (SSC) and FTW editions are pretty prone to stuff like that though. I only ever recommend those cards to people who are going to put them under water.

Well, there was a time when there was only OC, then they added SC, then it was SSC. So there have always been issues, just not as many tiers.
