I'm looking to do Epyon in a completely custom color scheme, most likely in White, Gold, and Dark Blue. But before I even do that, I was wondering if anyone could explain the technique's this guy used for his kit:

It looks like he used air brush, but I'm not entirely sure. It's so well detailed, this guy is a professional. I'm very curious to how he stylized the scratches and patterns in the blue areas of the wings, as well as on the Heat Whip.
Biggest question is, who here is experienced with painting models, and could teach me to emulate these technique's?
