Maybe one day in the future, but not now or within this decade.
Actually "conservatives" (unsure whether to upper-case or lower-case that in this situation ) are not against adding expenses. They are more against bringing the Government into something which can be privatized. Efficiency is still damned, as is evident in private healthcare as well as private prisons; they would rather Government just sends public money to be wasted in a hole rather than being the hole themselves.

The reason privatized shit gets screwed is because those privatized industries lobby to keep themselves small and stifle competition so they can charge high.

Which touches on my point: Everyone -- including both Government and Private Sector -- want to screw you... so standing on one side or the other is meaningless.

"Don't vote for the Democrats, they want Government to waste money."
"Don't vote for the Republicans, they want Government to give money to people to waste."

How about you just force whatever politician is in power to just do their effin' job in the first place. Demand for them to do something positive... rather than sitting idly by and waiting until they do or try to do something egregiously negative and rallying against them. Of course do that too -- but not solely that.

I agree with you. I'm just pointing it out in case some people don't get that. I stand for my own personal benefit. Enlightened self-interest.

But enough about healthcare and Obama's inability to fulfill promises in a thread about SOPA.
Yeah and SOPA/PROTECTIP/whatever it is called now wouldn't be a problem if he had actually vetoed it like he threatened to.

Because the World Wide Web was created by the United States Military and we have all the rights in the world to control how everyone is able to use it.

Fuck that. Leave the Internets alone.
