The rocket strike and F-35 take off was REALLY badass.
so exams forced me to put away BF3 and focus on studying for over a month.
now I've got back to playing, and the first thing I notice is that 99% of the time my stinger missiles are useless because everyone's got ECM jammers or flares now

well, after 4 days origin finally decided to connect to the EA network or whatever, and i made another attempt at this game. the AEK is, indeed, badass. the knife is still broken as fuck though. it just flat out refuses to work half the time. ive tried pressing the button, holding the button, taking the knife out and clicking (yes, WHEN he does the special "imma kill this guy" animation), and none of it worked. it only worked twice tonight out of 7 or 8 attempts, and everybody was standing still. the knife is fucked. i swear to christ it must operate off of a karma variable or something.
E: witnessed a squad mate's knife fail twice too, and a guy failed when he tried to knife me.
You have to knife people from behind... Best is when they're standing or prone, when they're crouched (especially against a wall) it's pretty glitched.
You can also knife people using a mortar launcher, but you have to get into a certain angle to do it. Just shuffle around them until you see the knife move up into a stabbing position and then hit the melee button. Often times the support dude using the mortar won't even notice you until its too late.
whoa wait, what? when you pull the knife out (like, by pressing 5 i think), you still need to press the melee button to hit them? i was just left clicking.
and ironically enough, the one knife that did work for me was on a guy that was crouched and sort of facing toward me. the other one was on a guy that was running away from me, but i have that sprint upgrade, so run all you want, lol. i had a revelation while i was trying to get to sleep last night, and i thought, does it have something to do with distance? in my experience, ill be right up the guy's ass when i melee, and all it does is slash him, not the whole take down animation. when i do take people down, its from a little bit further away and i kind of almost lunge into it.
i am going to get this shit right eventually. as you can see in my sig, i like to knife stuff.
E: especially since i cant defib people to death anymore :C
