yeah it does a bit, mostly because of the buddy relay thing.

also a lot of tfr guys are on gunborker, they're generally very good trustworthy people so buy from them if you see something you want.

Lol, "gunborker." That, sir, is incredibly funny and entirely accidental.

sexeh. I've had pretty good service there, you just have to do a little research on who you're buying from.

Didn't have a lot of options at the time. He was the only one who had what I was looking for. But then I discovered Tantal's website, which carried everything AK from optics, to side-mounts, magazines (slab-side to bakelite), pouches (all eras, all nationalities), to wood (AK-74, AKM, AK-47). I bought an AK-47N side mount from him as well as some Polish AK-47 stock pieces. It's a shame that the site is no longer selling anything other than optics (owner health issues), because it was way better than RusMilitary.

God I hate how the Russians used different colored wood for the top and bottom sections of their Mosin stocks. The wood is nice, but the unmatching sections disgusts me on almost every Mosin I have ever seen. It isn't too bad on yours Ross, but I have seen some that I would not buy simply because of that.

    Re: Modacity shooters' thread

i've seen a few where the upper handguard was really pale blonde wood and the main stock itself was almost black. it looked pretty weird. then again i've seen the same with enfields (and worse - serious colour mismatches between butt and heatshield/forearm).

e/ it's also worth noting that this isn't my mosin's original stock, because it doesn't have the cutout for the pu mount nor a splice there. the original may have matched better, i don't know.

They're hard to find but if you're lucky you can find the ex-sniper with it's original stock. In some arsenal re-works that would simply glue in a new piece of wood where the cut out was then refinish it.
