Both guns are getting balanced in the new patch. And I totally saw that stupid death coming in the video you posted.

Yeah they're getting nerfed, but they're still going to be obnoxious. Either way the Jackhammer sounds more satisfying and really is just more satisfying to use.

    Re: Battlefield 3

This game had a pretty short campaign

Whose dumbass idea was it to have button sequences in this game? It's got to be one of the most pointless fucking things in FPS games. Especially since the fucking timing is so short and if you miss it one the first go, welp, you're dead! Here, let us reload the last checkpoint for you! *10 seconds later*, okay try again! It's like being on the phone with an incompetent helpdesk. That last fucking bit with the guy & his nuke should have just been a halfassed cutscene instead of a halfassed button sequence. Getting people to smash buttons only works in Rockband. Get that shit out of shooter games.

To me it seemed like they were making fun of a lot of other games with the button sequences. But that might just be me. Oh well. We should all know that Battlefield isn't about singleplayer. Go play multiplayer and be happy.

If it were a Bad Company game I would agree with you, but seeing as DICE = tryhards with BF3, no.

Also, the original Bad Company campaign was great fun and the second one wasn't too shabby either, so DICE is capable of a competent solo experience.

    Re: Battlefield 3

I play the campaigns of games to get savvy with the game's feel before going into MP.

You want to know the sad thing? I bought BF3 used. Gamestop sent me a copy of the LE game. Whoever traded it in didn't redeem their LE code (I highly doubt it was GS' doing). So I got the B2K and an online pass for the price of a used game.

BF3 isn't worth more than $30 anyways. Another example of a game that didn't live up to the hype.

I hopped into MP and did a lot of herpin' and derpin'. They sure don't try to help people new to the game/franchise. Been using the 'ol 'trial and error' routine. The only good that came from playing campaign first was that I got familiar with the control scheme. That's about it.

    Re: Battlefield 3

Bad Company is better to play if you're new, because BF3 builds off of everything they learned from BC1 and BC2, and BC1 and 2 do a better job of helping you out with multiplayer via the single player (especially BC1...they even teach you to fly helicopters!). BF2 is an entirely different beast, so players coming from BF2 to BF3 are in the same boat and will, most likely, go back to BF2 once they realise how much a pile of shit the BF3 experience is. That's been the general feeling I've gotten off of their forums.

Still better than most modern shooters out there.
