Release no details about the game, let the fans trip over each other with assmad comments, and piss off the intelligent people with the Forerunner Saga so that by the time the game is released, there are no expectations and 343i could blow the doors open and make the community experience a world-wide orgasm and make millions of sales.

Yeah, XBL was still in its infancy at the time. So having a game made with true XBL support was a pretty big deal at the time.
