2222*3 = 6666 seconds
6666 seconds / 60 = 111.1 minutes
111.1 minutes / 60 = 1.85 hours

Sometimes the knife fails, and the animation leaves it out for a few seconds. That's why time is added. I don't stat pad with a knife :|

I do occasionally get called a hacker for front knifing though, which is fun.

client side hit detection is the worst development decision DICE made in bf3.

Oh I get it now. I used to think if you take your knife out *pre-attack* you stood more chance of killing them, plus if they turn around you can swipe at them. That explains why I have 4 hours and only 400 knife kills.

I was owning with the knife in TDM server yesterday though, I had all the luck. I was shooting some dude in front of me, close quarters and decided to hit F to slash him. My last bullet killed the guy and another dude to my left pop into my screen and I did the knife kill animation. I didnt even see he was there when I pressed F.

Then again sometimes I stand right behind the guy and hit F and nothing happens, I think thats the worst part about bf3 hit detection, it just isnt consistent. If sometimes I can lunge what seems like 5 feet in front of my to knife a guy, and other times not get him real close...crazy.

In order to knife someone, the knife has to point towards them. You might have to move a round a bit at close range and a lot for knifing mortars.

You can't knife animation anyone that's in a mortar or in a tow launcher because they're considered vehicles. You also can't knife while under water that goes up to your belly (like on Caspian).

I've knifed dudes on mortars before. Maybe they removed it from the game? It was definitely possible after the Back to Karkand patch because I did it a few times on Strike at Karkand.

He may have exited it just as you knifed him and he went from his pose straight to your knife animation.
