    Re: Battlefield Tri-hard

about 2 weeks ago i watched an old lady crash into and mow down a street light, then continue driving like nothing happened. shit was fucking hilarious. but realistic or not, it probably makes more sense gameplay wise if the chopper can either break everything it hits, or if everything it hits breaks it. not a mix of the two. i mean for example, street light type A can be destroyed by a chopper collision, but street light type B will fuck up the chopper and stay standing. unless its obvious by the size of the object or something. idk, i havent played much bf3.

Both pieces should be destroyed: aircraft and light pole. I think it's fair, because if you were stupid enough to pilot that low you deserved it but at the same time it won't happen again.

It's OK for a tank to hit it and simply break it over because a tank weighs significantly more than an aircraft.

Wow the mobile artillery can use airburst and anti-air missiles. That's BAUSS. I wonder what that's going to look like. Can't wait for armored kill.

    Re: Battlefield Tri-hard

    • Removed flares from gunner position in helicopters. With the right combination of unlocks, an attack helicopter could be effectively invulnerable to lock on missiles. Removing the flares from the gunner balances the attack helicopter against ground fire.

It's shit like this DICE...Compare that with this:
    • FIM92 and IGLA now lock on to air vehicles at both lower altitudes and longer distances.
    • Added Burst Fire to the M5K as an available fire mode.

And we heli pilots get shafted so far up the ass we can taste shit with our mouths.
    • The Laser Designator unlock on the Scout Helicopters has been changed from a Pilot Upgrade to a new stance in the Copilot seat (position 4). Like the CITV turret on the Main Battle Tanks, the Scout Helicopter’s Laser Designator is permanently available to players who have received the unlock.

    This was nice though.

    "M16A3: Recoil amounts slightly increased."

That gun was perfectly fine, it just needed to be one of the last unlocks instead of the 1st.

Yeah, seriously, who the fuck thought that was a good idea. Probably the same person who extended the range on the stationary AA.

DICE: throwing parts at the problem instead of figuring it out since 2011.

I honestly believe they made this game for consoles. The shit they do ruins the PC version, but on the console end everyone is "herp derp sweet deal we suck and can't use things properly, it should fix that now!1!11!"

Also, update in progress halfway through a round...I was doing good too damnit.

    Re: Battlefield Tri-hard

Well, jsut by looking at /r/Battlefield3, it's extremely clear that DICE fucked up big time again. Flares are obsolete, ECM works like flares now, Below Radar does jack and shit, IGLA/Stinger will lock you at any height up to 400m.

Here's the Armored Kill launch trailer, though:

    Gonna be live.

It was made primarily for consoles. DICE admitted that about half-way through development they switched the focus from PC to console.
